Vincent’s been circling one song harder than the rest this week — Shattered Wing, the lead single from The Holy Wrong.
It’s the PryBirds name in motion: flight, fall, climb anyway. Hes got it at that urgent Gm clip where the chorus doesn’t apologize for the break in the wing.
I’m putting the words on the site before the cover drip (~mid-September) and well before the digital album lands Friday, September 26, 2026 on riffuge.com. Not streaming everywhere yet. Not a tour announcement. Just the lyric, so the kitchen table knows what’s coming out of the North room.
Shattered Wing
Born for altitude
Built for break
Feathers coded wrong
Still we take the wake
Sky don’t care who falls
Sky just keeps the cold
Shattered wing / still we climb
Shattered wing / PryBirds time
Blood on the updraft
Name in the dive
Shattered wing — alive
Wire through the bone
Prayer through the gust
Every lift a risk
Every risk a must
Fall is not the end
Fall is how we bend
Shattered wing / still we climb
Shattered wing / PryBirds time
Blood on the updraft
Name in the dive
Shattered wing — alive
Don’t mend it pretty
Don’t hide the seam
The break is the banner
The fall is the dream
Shattered wing / still we climb
Shattered wing / PryBirds time
Ash in the feathers
Fire in the spine
Shattered wing still mine
