🔥 THE PRYBIRDS IGNITE WITH EMBER OF EMPIRE
A Monumental Industrial-Doom Odyssey Forged in Fire, Brotherhood, and Sonic Ritual
DENVER, CO — May 20, 2025 — The PryBirds, Denver’s rising industrial-doom collective, unveil their latest full-length album, Ember of Empire. This release marks a significant evolution in their sound, blending apocalyptic storytelling with massive sonic landscapes. The album is a testament to their collaboration with Riffuge Studio Productions and their deepening bond with fellow artists Altars of Aether.
🔥 EMBER OF EMPIRE: A Sonic Testament to Collapse and Rebirth
Ember of Empire is not merely an album; it’s a journey through the ashes of a fallen world. The PryBirds channel the weight of doom metal, the grit of industrial noise, and the ethereal textures of post-metal to craft a narrative of destruction and resurgence. Each track serves as a chapter in this saga, from the opening inferno of “Cinders of the Machine” to the haunting finale “Funeral for the Earth”
🔩 Forged in the Fires of Riffuge
The album’s creation was deeply intertwined with Riffuge Studio Productions. Initially collaborating at Riffuge’s Dallas facility, The PryBirds found a kindred spirit in Altars of Aether. This partnership led to the establishment of Riffuge North in Denver—a space that became both a studio and a sanctuary.
“We didn’t just build a studio; we built a family,” says Vincent “Flames” Krell, The PryBirds’ frontman. “Riffuge North became our crucible, where every note was a spark, and every session a blaze.”
The synergy between the bands was palpable. Late-night sessions often turned into impromptu jam circles, with members swapping instruments and ideas. One memorable evening, a power outage led to an acoustic set illuminated by candlelight, resulting in the raw and intimate track “Ember Choir.”
